What makes The Furry B&B different?
Some dogs find traditional boarding environments overwhelming due to the noise, chaos & various handlers. This is especially true for senior dogs, dogs that aren’t dog-friendly or have some stranger danger issues, making boarding a very stressful experience for them.
When pups stay with me, they enjoy the comfort of their own climate-controlled cottage, free from the noise and stress of a traditional boarding facility. They won't have to interact with other dogs or unfamiliar people, ensuring a calm and peaceful environment. I provide multiple potty breaks and playtime sessions throughout the day, along with plenty of cuddles and enrichment activities.
The fenced yard offers ample space for your pup to exercise, bask in the sun, or enjoy activities like agility and fetch. I am happy to accommodate special requests and ensure your pet receives extra love and attention during their stay with me.

Our two dogs had their first overnight stay with Dana and we were beyond impressed. Dana exceeded our expectations at every turn. Her pupdates/pics were timely and sweet; I didn’t even have any reason to worry. Our dogs were relaxed with her - our boy is a nervous, stranger-danger dog but he took to her with no hesitation, which told us a lot about Dana’s dog behavior knowledge.The B&B set up was a perfect fit for our two pups. White noise, fan, temp control, cameras and dogtv make it quiet and relaxing in there, and Dana let us bring a comforter from home to help them acclimate.Dana was also helpful, and accommodating of extra feedings and also flexible with our pick up/drop off times, which you just don’t get at a “classic” boarding kennel. We have already booked two more vacations this year now that we have a caring and very capable person that we can trust with our babies.

AMAZING!
I would not trust anyone else with my fur kids! One can clearly tell that not only does Dana loves dogs but she understands them and cares deeply for each one. In return, each of our 3 pups, all with different personalities clearly adore her! When we leave them with Dana, we are rest assured that they are treated like royalty. She also sends updates, pictures, and the lines of communication are always open giving us a lot of peace of mind.

My dog’s absolutely love Dana and her doggie cottage. She goes above and beyond for them and they always have a great time with her! I never have to worry about a thing and they’re tuckered out when they get home.

The cottage is awesome!
Our shy dog, Tulip, stayed with Dana for five nights. I left so much stuff for her and wrote SO MANY words in her registration paperwork. We adopted Tulip 6 months ago, and she recently finished heartworm treatment, so there are some things we are still figuring out as we settle into routines. Dana was so patient and open to discussing what we do know Tulip is comfortable and uncomfortable with.
The cottage is awesome! There are different bed options, a TV, and natural light comes in through the windows, which in my experience, can be hard to find in a kennel setup. Tulip got to listen to calming music. Dana asked me about which things, like stuffies and a crate, I'd like to stay in the room. Tulip did not get to stay with any stuffies because I felt that she'd destroy and possibly eat them.
Communication with Dana was excellent. I got updates daily, and sorting out drop-off and pick-up was easy. Again, Dana is really patient and understands that the human's travel logistics can be hectic.
At the Furry B&B, your dog will stay with an experienced dog rescuer who can discuss needs that may be a little too specific to reach an understanding about at the typical boarding place. Dana will keep your dog safe and comfortable while you are away.

What a great place this is!!
I have 2 pups that recently stayed here. One of my pups is very anxious and skittish and he did very well there. Dana is a person that understands dogs super well and is so patient and caring. It was an amazing experience and I will never take them anywhere else when I need to go out of town! The home they stay in is super cute and cozy as well.

Best ever!
This is the absolute best place I have ever boarded my dogs! Dana goes above and beyond to make my dogs comfortable and happy. I never have to worry about them when they are at this place. She was so good with all my dogs, but especially with our rescue dog Lenny, who is terrified of people. Within the first stay with her, Dana sent pictures of Lenny laying on her back getting belly rubs from her. They get totally spoiled while they are there - its a wonder they want to come home!

About Dana
I have 4 dogs of my own (Abby, Zoey, Hershey, & Preston). I also have 2 foster dogs (Buster & Aries). I've always had a deep love for dogs, and I find immense fulfillment in helping them, especially when they need a little additional comfort.
In 2015, I began volunteering at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter and gained extensive handling experience with a wide variety of dog behaviors, including stranger danger, over-arousal, jumpiness, and mouthiness. I am Fear Free Certified, use consent-based interaction and am knowledgeable in trauma-related behavior issues.
